Do these need a lot of light? I have two in my betta tank that appear to be turning yellow. They are sending roots/runners out like crazy.

I just got two last week for my 29g.. I am using flourish excel for carbon, and flourish potassium, iron and phosphorous. I have 40 watts on it right now for 12 hrs. a day in 18000k. I have some leaves turning yellow, which I thought could be due to an iron dificiency, but I'm dosing flourish iron as rec., and I'm using laterite extract. I ordered another double light(with 6700k bulbs) which will give me 80 watts total, and hopefully that will help? Anyone else? I know lack of calcium,trace elements etc. causes holes in leaves but what about yellow leaves? I also just ordered some "flourish" which includes trace elements as well as ferts..
I have one leaf on each plant that is yellowing, the others are fine. Maybe they're like poinsettias?
No, if the leaves aren't green it's a sure sign of something amiss. I've looked into it and yellowing of the leaves is called chlorosis and can result from the lack of a number of supplements. It's not too hard to find out everything you need to know about how to treat this by searching the net.
