I want to get a couple bottom feeders for my 20 gallon tall. I know it's not a big tank, but is there anything other than ottos that I can get for it? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks...

I grabbed me a bag full of ghost shrimp (11 actually) about a month ago. They were only a dime a piece.

I dont know how effective they are with cleaning, but man they are a trip to watch. They spend pretty much all of their time scavenging for leftovers like Corys do.

Cories are great. If you are looking for a single larger fish I really like the Flying Fox. And it actually does okay with cories as well. Or else some of the smaller loaches are great liek the Khulie, Zebra and Yoyo. Get them in at least pairs, 3 would be better but can add a little to the overall tank load.

Shrimp are also a great option, either cherry, ghost or amano. They do a fine job of grabbing bits of leftover food.

Don't forget to feed your bottom feeders with sinking pellets.

Thanks everyone for all of the ideas! I'm getting a lot of brown algae, so maybe otos are my best bet. So many fish...so little tank space!

I'd go with a bunch of ghost shrimp. those things are awesome. I can't keep then in my 55 though, unfortunately. Ted my male krib beats them to death then eats half and the angels get the other half. Expensive fish food since my lfs charges $0.40 each for them.
