Bowing Ten Gallon?

sorry to revive an old thread

but my 10 gallon is also bowing. It has only been running for about 7 months, I bought it new. The thing is bowing along the long sides about 1/4 of an inch maybe? Should I brace it? It isn't leaking. However, there is about $2000 worth of computer equipment on the desk that the aquarium sits on. Should I go get a $20 stand and put it in the corner of the room instead?

I looked at a lot of 10G and they all seem to bow somewhat.
But reading your post:

i think you might've answered your own question already if you know what i mean.

True, I guess I did. If I drain the thing down to about an inch or two of water, would it be ok to move it that way (assuming two people lift it together even).

I think so - but dont yell at me if it breaks. LOL
I moved my 10G a few times that way - left 1/4 of the water in it, gravel and decor and it was fine BUT you know how things go....

The 10 gallon glass aquarium will be fine to lift drained down to about 2 inches of water. I would still transfer the fish and filter to a bucket while you go through this task. You never know how long it might take to get the aesthetics correct before you refill the tank.

I just upgraded my system from ten to a twenty, and figured I could use the old ten gallon for a qt tank. I was just about to reseal it when I noticed that the long panels actually seem to be bowing slightly! It's hardly noticable, but I'm worried that it's not worth refilling it now. Any opinions?
Yes, get a leopard Gecko and a screen top for the tank. lol

Tanks like this are so cheap, I would just buy a new one. Since I have other critters I tend to use my 10s for them and keep my bigger tanks for the fish.
