Brackish inverts??

Malaysian Trumpet Snails (MTS) can live in brackish water as long as the salt levels are raised gradually. Nerites also are great in brackish water and actually won't even reproduce in fresh water aquariums. They are hard to find but azgardens is a great site.

Do you think Nerites and MTS can survive or acually be comfortable in a low end brackish? 1.005-.008 ?

guys, check out this page

It specifically goes over a variety of brackish inverts

paku, nerites can survive at low brackish, even FW conditions as long as they are properly acclimated. MTS will also do fine in brackish water, as Mr SnailZ has already said. So I think if it's low brackish, you'll be golden with either species :) Just make sure to acclimate them slowly to your water chemistry. Don't know the specifics on this process, though, as I've never done it myself. Perhaps Mr SnailZ could step in again :)

mr snailz, what u got that can tolorate a SG between 1.016-1.018?
anything spectacular?

I have 2 fiddler crabs in my brackish tank. I have a ramp for them to climb out, but they don't seem to use it very much. I have found them perched on top of the rim of the aquarium, I have an open topped tank with a 6" plexi wall around the top. I don't think they can climb out, but they are very good climbers.

Sorry brackishguybob, I only carry freshwater snails. Go for some nerites. They come in all kinds of cool colors and varieties. They are tough to find though and are often times pretty expensive. liveaquaria carries a few of them but they are out of stock right now. Every once in a while I see some on aquabid or eBay but just keep your eyes out.
