i just got one of these today and i was wondering the common food source i heard they like to eat beef hearts of something so can somebody tell me something to feed this dude

Mine loved shrimp and krill pellets as well as guppies, beefheart, and fresh tilapia.

Mine eat flakes, shrimp pellets, goldfish pellets, cichlid crumbles, freeze dried krill, frozen beef hearts, frozen bloodworms, earthworms ( cut to about 1 inch pieces ) like you'd use for bait and ghost shrimp. I haven't tried feeders but they did eat a couple of small danios in the other tank.

Mine eat anything anytime

dose anyone know what time of the day they eat
Senegals are one of the most active species of bichirs, so they will eat pretty much anytime of day. Other species (ie. ornatipinnis, weeksi) are extremely reclusive and may only feed during lights out.

While small (i assume yours is only a couple inches long), if your schedule allows, you can feed multiple small meals a day. Once a little larger ~6" one meal a day skipping a day or two a week will do. Once they are close to their adult size you can feed them a couple to a few times a week, or even less
