Breeding Bulldog Plecos

hey, i was wandering if anybody had expirience breeding bulldog plecos and tips on doing it.

yea i cant even find an article on how to sex them. there is a video on youtube where they did breed them.

Don't let that stop you spencerguy1! Someone will breed them so why not you?? Learn what you can and give it a try!

Breeding Unreported.

I'd say if it is unreported on a site that is well known for pleco and other "catfish" keepers and breeders to share experiences on then most likely you will not find anything specific elsewhere on the topic. Would account for why the main way they make it into the hobby is by being transported from the wild...

I would look through the profiles on planetcatfish for any clues. I think fast water and high oxygen content, maybe keys to triggering spawning.

i say setup a 20 gallon long get a male and female adult. get a powerhead and an internal filter and let them run. provide cave, java moss, sand, rocks,and some plant above and below the waterline.

Someone on Planetcatfish reported eggs from his bulldog plecos just recently. The tank was setup to be a hillstream loach tank, so high water turnover, etc.
