I have 6 Albino Cories that i would love to breed. Is there a trick to it? I have heard that doing a cold water change right before a storm can induce spawning is this true?

I find that my cories breed often with me leaving them alone. But yes I can encourage them to breed by adding slightly colder water when I do my water change. I don't try to time it before storms just add colder water(3-5) like once a week and feed them good quality foods.

With the type of corys that you have to sex the females will be noticably fatter and kind of stockier than the males. Males also have slighty longer dorsal fins and are more lean and stretched looking than females. I agree that cool water changes work well, my paleatus are kind of fussy and I usually have to do multiple cool water changes in a day to induce spawning 2/3 small ones. Ive also had success adding some ice cubes made with treated water again a couple times a day 5/6 cubes at a time. Good luck

These are cory aenues but you can tell easily by which is the female, she's bigger taller fatter (and holding eggs) but anyhow... your cories should be similar. I've seen some female cories before and the best way to describe them is drumstick shaped. The males are more slender. Goodluck. What else do you have in your tank?
A few briggs and some MTS is all that is in the 29 right now i do plan to add some RCS soon. I have two of the 6 that are noticeably larger than the others so hopefully they are females. I would love to have some cory babies swimming around
