I am thinking about trying to breed some of my fantails and moors but I am curious as to how I would do this in a fish tank.

I read online that they breed in the summer very easily, but I am guessing that I would need to simulate summer in the fish tank for this to happen since it's the same all year round inside of it.

I am wondering if I should add a heater and raise the temperature a couple degree or two everyday, or change their foods, or do the fasting/feasting thing that you do when simulating spring.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think Flaringshutter has a couple of posts on this. She has successfully bred Comets in a tank. I have never had much luck, myself. Most successful breeding seems to happen in ponds. I know that the temperature has to cycle to spur them into spawing behavior.
