Brine Shrimp troubles...

I just hatched my very first batch of brine shrimp and all went well BUT when it came to scooping up the brine shrimp.. a problem occurred....

I used a new turkey baster to suck up the baby brine shrimp and then poured them into a brine shrimp net but most of them just go right through and then the instructions for brine shrimp hatching says to wash the shrimp of in water simply to wash of the salt but that way even less shrimp were in the net.

Does anyone have an effective way of getting most if not all the baby brine shrimp out of the bottle and into the tank?

Also how long will this brine shrimp last in the tank? I'm feeding around 30 fry.

I used a piece of rigid air line as a pipette. dropped them into the net, then dipped net in fresh water to rinse or rinsed gently under faucet. then put in tank. none went thru my net...maybe you need a finer net???

Once the brine shrimp were too big for fry, I hated to waste 'em...dropped 'em direct from "pipette" tube into tank. I figure the little tiny bit of salt wouldnt hurt as long as PWC's kept up.
