so i just purchase some brine shrimp today and its my first time using it.
so all i did was pour in a quart of water into a bucket and a teaspoon of brine shrimp eggs. i am waiting 1 hour to pour in 2 tablespoons of coarse salt.
then it should hatch in about 24hrs. after it hatch i should apply 10-15mins of direct light into its?
am i getting it right or is there a better way of doing it?
thx :D

oh yeah i also put in a air pump too.

if it's anything like a seamonkey, the light is for warmth i think? plus i believe they munch algae. i could be very wrong. i've never researched it.

hmmm so my brine shrimp hatched...how im i suppose to get them out?
they are so small with all the shell flying around.

i would turn off the pump and leave the bucket alone for about 10 min to settle down then use a syringe connected to a airline tubing and suck out the most concentrated orange layer ( thats the brine shrimp)

turn off the pump and put a light against the side of the bucket. A flashlight would work. The brine shrimp are attracted to light. Wait a few minutes and they will be concentrated near the light, then just suck them up with a syringe.

hmmk and then im i suppose to rinse them with freshwater?
how im i gonna do that?
srry new to this :D

pour the contents of the bucket through a brine shrimp net or if u dont have one puor through a pair of yr wifes tights folded over yr fish net. also when hatching brine shrimp for best results sea salt the water already with air pump running, dont use an air stone the fine bubbles stick to the shrimp. add shrimp eggs, light for a least 3 hrs if not the whole time. you can reuse water to save on salt. if you want them rto grow to adults put the bucket in the sun they will eat the algea or just buy some brine shrimp food

Ive used them to feed baby Dwarf gouramis and Discus.Never bothered to rinse them just turned the air off.let them settle and suck some out with a turkey baster.Put those into a cup then used a eye dropper to feed.A teaspoon seems like quite a bit.I used about 1/4 teaspoon. The ideal hatch time could anywhere between 24-48 hours, depending on heat, eggs and the salt. After 48 hours after the hatch I would dump them and start feeding from the second batch.
