Have they always had bn at petsmart? I just noticed these this morning! They're priced at $10 but they didn;t have any.

hmmmm, once in a while i'll see some really cool fish on labels at mlps, and then they'll be like yeah, uh those are all sold out. and i'm thinkin, i been in here almost evry day since the last shipment and you have not had those, um why put up the sign then? and evry so often they will actually get in a very cool species, so really could be either situation.

Priced at $10, likely for 1" juvies, at least it's a better price than I see locally on the rare occaisions the lfs does have any available.
I got a bunch of juvies on aquabid a while back, will be ready to ship some out after I have an established pair.
They'll be breeding size or very close to it, and carry the long fin gene, so they should produce some long fin fry.

Yeah. They're stocking them now. I took a chance and picked one up a month ago. He's doing great, eating all the time and is all over my tank. I'm surprised he's so bold. It's fun to watch him bully the Corys over an algae wafer.

They are 1" juveniles...I think mine has doubled in size already.

employee said they are seasonal so they wont be coming in anytime soon since they're out of stock right now.

Seriously, seasonal? "They only breed, in captivity, with artificial conditions and lights, every 3rd wednesday of months that contain an R."

Did you tell him his other name was Alexandre Dumas?

I just got one and I love it. It is about 1.5" long. How long does it take them to grow to adult size? Could I have two in my tank? I have a 29 gallon tank.

I've seen BN plecos at Petsmart. More than 1 type too.

Petsmart gets some strange things in every month...strange for a big box. I picked up 6 killies (gardeneris) for 35 bucks the other day. they were labeled as males but I got two trios. Perfect! They also had peacock gudgeons. Go figure. They never know what they are getting so you just kind of have to stop in on friday...fish come thursday here. Usually I dont buy things from the big boxes unless I cant find it at the local stores, but these were some nice looking fish for once.
