Regarding an Eheim 2217....

They have the metal retaining clips to keep the pump head on. Well, one the clips broke, and some of the plastic around the clip broke as well. Will the filter run ok without one clip, or does anyone know of a good way to rig it?

Replacement clips are easy to come by, but i'd rather not have to replace a whole pump head. Thanks for any suggestions.

Just leave it. It should not be a problem.

Just be very careful not to brake another. Broken clips usually occure when you try and use them to cam the lid on as they are not meant to do work only hold the lid when it is manually pressed into place. So in the future place the lid on and press it into place all the way down by hand and then lock each clip into position. If there is any resistance never ever force a clip unless you want to brake it.

Bigals sell a set of 4 for $2.49. Why take chances?
