Hi people . I need your advice on on this algae problem. Its been with me now for the last 2 months and sreems to be getting more apparent. 2 weeks ago i changed 50% of water as my nitrates were through the roof. I though this might have solved the problem. At present my nitrates =0.5 pH=8.2 PO4= 0 KH=10.2 Ammonia=0 I have a 100gal reef tank up and running approx 1 year. the algae is a brown colour with tiny bubbles all over the sand and live rock. Any info please please.:help:

what is your bioload?
do you feed heavily?
how old are your bulbs and what types of lighting?
what K rating are your bulbs?
are you using tap water? RO? DI? RODI?
how often are you doing water changes and what percentage each time?

strange....i use the same test and its always accurate...maybe reduce the feeding and add a skimmer if u dont have one. also maybe increase the amount of water u take out in changes.

all fish are small at present and im in the process (planning stages) of building a 350 gallon glass has been ordered for tank and sump. i hope to have everything ready in a couple of months and then transfere all
