Thanks so much friends for your help. I have a built in skimmer at present Working of a wooden air stone . My pump crashed on the deltec skimmer waiting for a replacment ordered.

May I also suggest cutting your "lights on" time. I've had a huge problem with Dino algae but my phosphates were high but cutting my lights down helped a huge amount.

well i see just about all points on this Cyano bacteria A.K.A. "slime algae" have been covered but one thing.

Filtration, Without the proper filtration or current in the tank Cyano bacteria loves to spawn. Try adding another powerhead or two and see if that helps. however i would wait a month or 2 after you stop feeding the tank 4 times a day, thats WAY to much feeding. Try cutting back to 1 maybe 2 feedings a day. Fish dont get 4 meals a day in the wild, might be lucky to get 3 to be honest with you.

Also i believe it was Germanman that said Frozen foods contain phosphates and he is right on with that. Sadly most frozen foods are that way.

thats why i use a phosphate removing resin in my tank. calvary is right good advice there!
