brown algae

Hi everyone,

Well i had a green algae problem before and after man water changes i managed to get ridof it about a month ao but now i have found brown algae growing on the backglass of thetank. Should i treat it the same way i did the green alage??

Hey Jet,

First, welcome to the forum.

Second, how old is your tank? What are the water params? Are you using RO or Tap water? If your tank is new it's just the cycle and is normal. You can clean it off if it's too bad, but it's just a process. Remember, you SW tank is a whole biome and things are going to take their course. With a little more information we could probably answer your question a little better. Just hang in there, and again, welcome.

besides all those questions, which would really help, tanks go under normal algae cycles that go on their own if the tank is properly maintained that might just be it.
