I have my first pair of bronze cories. My questiions are since I am a newbie to cories- how big do bronze corydora aeneus grow and how do I tell if I have a boys or girls? Also I have goldfish in there with them and yesterday I had to put some of the fungus clear tank treatment in there because one of my gold fish has tail rot. My cory's are very healthy . I love the little catfish dance they do (swimming rapidly up and down from top to bottom of the tank to the bottom wiggling the whole time. It is so fun to watch :dance2:

Bronze cories max out around 2.5 inches -- as for sexing them -- the best I've been able to find says that the females are broader/wider than the males when looked at from above. Most people will also tell you that cories are happiest in groups of 4 or more -- I started with two -- added two after a month or so -- and now I have two babies to go with the four others. They are an awesome "spectator fish" -- I regularly laugh at their antics! Can't tell you anything about the meds -- one of our experts will have to handle that one.

they can get up to about 3inches... they need the waters temp to range from 72-82 degrees fahrenheit...

the female tend to be larger and plumper...

as for medication wise... im not sure...

i have 2 females (aneus not another cory) that are larger than 2.5 one is just shy of 3" and the other is a tiny bit over 3" and they're 6-8 months old

that being said there seem to be corys of late in stores that are bigger than the usual max length so you probably have the normal variety

sexing corys is hard in mature adults the females tend to be a bit longer and rounder- but as far a being certain you can't

as far as the meds go i'd use salt and a couple more degrees of heat instead- corys are sensitive for sure. the other question i have for you is what is your temp at right now. goldies are cold water fish and corys are tropical.
