Well, in a 10g, you don't need much. A small air pump of almost any size will be adequate to run either a sponge filter or the antiquated "box filter". A sponge filter would be my choice & will be fine for a shrimp tank. They poop a lot for their size, so you'll need to rinse out the sponge in tank water once a week or 2.

The one I run in my 10g shrimp and fry tank is smaller than a soda can.

IMO, a 10gal for shrimp only does not need a filter. Just a few plants.
