Bubbles all gone

Hi folks

How important is it to have an air stone etc in my tank, only the device I was using stopped working last nght. I have a good flow with the current power head, so I'm not sure if the broken device needs replacing. I only bought it because it gave off a blue light, but I have since installed moon lights anyhow.

You dont need it. If you have filtration the bubbles are just for "looks"

If you have enough current at the top of your tank to mix in the oxygen, then you probably do not need it.

If your tank is on the warm side or you have a type of fish that need more oxygen in the water, a bubble item is helpfull. The bubble bar produces bubbles that go to the top, then that creates water movement, which puts even more oxygen back into the water.
