This thread is going to be about building a plywood monster tank
Any tips are greatly appreciated , will report back soon : diy filtration would be greatly appreciated

No tips but looking forward to seeing what you do. Should be an adventure.

I always look forward to hearing how one makes out building their own tank. The pros and the cons. Hopefully you will allow the members to ride along with your project.

FUN! First thought when talking BIG tanks is always floor support? 269 gallons huh? Building it yourself and you can't get that extra gallon is there!? lol ;)

Filtration - Do you plan to have an overflow? What are you thinking about stocking? Planted or not?

Still going with these dimensions?
Width 52"
Width 36"
Height - 40"

If so I have some comments. ;)

Those seem to be some odd dimensions

for filtration im not sure , maybe a sump/overflow , or a diy canister , i have an old powerhead sitting around that should do the job any videos or threads on sumps etc would be greatly appreciated

So even before i have this started i have begun to think about fish]
i want to put my 2 angels in , from what i know angels and a betta might not be the best tank mates? My brother desperately wants a betta so that may be going in ,
a school of tetras not sure which type (best schoolers ?)
a couple of lepoard plecs
an oscar
3-4 german blue rams
maybe another pleco royal or clown ?
2 bala sharks
4 clown loaches
a school of corys panda or juili
maybe and i need advice on this , an albino ruby shark ? maybe to aggressive ?

For plants i have lots of moss growing in my 29 so that can go in
some java ferns and amazon swords
some driftwood (which i need to find )

i have drawn up a rough sketch for filtration using my 29 gal SUMP SYSTEM.png

the journey has begun i get paid next couple of weeks so i can start buying the materials
thanks for joining in on my journey
