Hi,

Are bumble bee nerite snails suitable for a planted aquarium? I bought some for my tank but it seems they are producing a lot of "waste" on my plants, especially on my green hygro. Do they actually eat algae?

Thanks

Olive nerites are awesome in a planted tank. They keep things clean and tidy; however if you CO2 inject the tank, I do not recommend them as their shells erode. I woudldonly consider them in a low tech tank. Bumble bees are great but they do not eat algae. You need Amano <japonicum> shrimp for they. They go to town on the stuff.
