bumblebee tank update (pics)

wuzzup everybody, just wanted to update anyone who voted on the poll about what color I should use for substrate on the bumblebee goby tank. I chose to go sand instead of gravel, but I still got that rocky look. This look is temporary, I will be constantly updating it until I really like it. Suggestions? Criticisms?

Very nice looking tank, but I think black gravel works best for bringing out the BBG's vibrant colors.

I like the sand. Do they "play" in it at all? A lot of fish that always ignored the my sustrate are all over the "sandbox" that I put in my community tank. I'm jeleous, I really gotta make room for a goby tank. Any problems getting them to eat?

Looks sweet but yea I agree with oddball on black maybe with some white mixed in, but definately sand. Not a lot of white but some . By the way u owe me 2.50 a piece for the gobys , jk

No, the white & black would really not look good... Trust me. Also, if you do mix it to just try it out, you'll never get it back into each color again.

So far, they havent played in it, But Ive only had it up a week. And yes, they are picky eaters. They wont touch flake and only eat (frozen) bloodworms and brineshrimp when they are floating. If it hits the ground, the three ghostshrimp take care of it. (oddball, they havent munched on them yet )

Vid! Get your hands out of my pocket! I see how quickly you forgot those two pondsnails I gave you! :D

I also read that these guys like sea shells and/or sea barnicles (sp?)...I personally don't like the looks of the barnicles that I have seen for sale, but they say that it's a good hiding place.

I have heard that too. I might get a shell or two, but I havent seen any barnacles for sale

Get some barnacles, definitely!!! But not sure if that'd look really natural... They are indeed picky eaters and will eat only live brine shrimp or bloodworms, in my experience.
