It may also have been too quickly a transition from fresh to brackish...I would probably put them in fresh water when I got home and increase the salinity over a period of a week or two...not sure what process you followed.

Yea it started fresh water and I was adding abotu a teaspoon of salt a day, I had the gravity up to about 1.07 1.08 when he died. He was never doing very well since I bought him though. His fins started to heal (torn at petstore) and he was a fighter but he did not make it. The Other inhabitants are fine (Guppies, Ghost shrimp, and Trumphet snails) In fact the guppies have grow very fast in this tank even faster than those in my 10 gallon, they are about the same size as the batch of fry Before them!
