? ? Rereading what I wrote. Hrm, just to clarify, I wasn't saying "Gotcha" as in "I read differently and I found you are wrong" I meant "Gotcha" as in "I hear ya and that's good advice".wataugachicken said:Whatever.
Right. And after you mentioning they like to be in groups, I did a search here and yes, the majority do feel they do better in groups. Ergo, I must group my loaches for them to be their happiest. So, I must either plan on 1 more at some point or trade in the loaches for something else.i'm not basing it on anything i've read, i'm basing it on experience from observing how they interact with each other in groups. one might be fine by itself, but when you have several, they will play together, follow each other around the tank, take turns surfing in the powerhead current, and sleep on top of each other in a cave, like a pile of tired hound dogs. seeing how active and happy they seem to be when there is a small or large group of them, i can't recommend having just one.
Well, that particular "no where" meant LiveAquaria.com. On their Clown Loach web page it doesn't say anything about grouping and that's my error. Obviously they are wrong and I should have done some more research before I bought the two I have. If everyone here says they need to group to be happiest, then, dammit, group they should be!and what do you mean by "nowhere'? surely you didn't have time to search the entire internet?!?
However, yes, I usually DO search the internet to verify information when I can, but unless you know *something* about your subject matter, you end up at 7 different sites with 4 different answers
I prefer to go with what the majority here say. It's usually the correct course.
Thanks a bunch for your help with all this and I'm sorry if I came across the wrong way,
Roan
