I just got three new cynotilapia afra "cobue orange back" from my lfs. Does anyone have any good info on these critters. Everything that I have been able to find is very sketchy. Right now they are in a 40gal breeder but amhinking of moving them in with my yellow labs in a 55g. Any thoughts?

Just triing to find out how big they get, if they are herbivorous or omnivorous, and at what size they normally start to breed..

They don't get really big, about 4".
While defending his territory he can be pretty 'aggressive'. I know all Mbunas can be but this one can be more 'persistent' (if that's the right word for it)
As for dietary; they like the same food any other Mbuna would need. They are herbivorous, but they do eat plankton in the open waters of lake malawi when it's available and when they're not breeding.
That’s all I know (could find) of Mr. Afra.
