They eat it, so can they come down with it?

I guess it is possible, never seen it myself though. Actually, from everything I have read and been told, Cleaner Wrasses DO NOT clean/eat Ich parasites.. that said, my personal experience tells me the exact opposite. ;)

\cue the "Ich is a FW parasite, no such think in SW" fanatics out there. :D

Crypto, whatever. Oy.

ich is a freshwater parasite, there's no such thing as Saltwater ich...LOL:D

I beg to differ. You're obviously not up to par on your spongebob squarepants mastery.

Ummmm... are you saying you are up to par on your Spongebob? LOL. I think I have more respect for the people NOT up on their Spongebob than are. :D

Seriously.. a sponge.. that walks.. ummm.. am I the only one that has a problem with that? Couldn't they pick a creature that is actually mobile in real life. hahaha.

LOL.. it was more of a joke than anything. Really though, Ich is not a SW term, it is a FW term that carried over to SW but SW people use it just as often. Even though it is totally different people know what your talking about when asking about "Ich" in both FW and SW forums.

FW Ich = Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, which is where the term "Ich" came from. Pronounced "Ick".

SW Ich = Cryptocaryon or Oodinium like stated above, but as you see, neither have the name "Ich" in their names like the FW parasite. They just look very similar on both types of fish to the observer.

Now that that is over.... now I really do wonder if Cleaner Wrasse can get "Ich" because they do seem like they could be susceptable to it. They sleep in rocks, not the sand, so not as well protected at night.

An imagination is a terrible thing to waste. ;)

Plus, most all of the jokes are adult oriented if you actually watch it from time to time!
