I have recently purchased a simple 10g aquarium to start of my aquarium career. I have noticed that i have been going to the LFS at least 3 or 4 times a week since the month that ive had it. I can't stop getting new stuff for my fish to make their simple lives better. I am also yearning to get new tanks and have new types of fish that i currently do not have. This has lead to a great amount of money spent on my fish, of course which i do not regret, but keeping and aquarium healthy can be a pretty pricy thing.

Do any of you guys feel that you spend a lot of time and money on your aquariums and still ove doing it. I am really suprised at how fun this hobby truly is and i am wondering if you guys see it the same way.

haha i know what you mean about an addiction. I started out with a 2.5 gallon and a betta! Now I have a 20 gallon, a 10 gallon, two 5 gallon tanks, and the 2.5 gallon tank! And I dragged my boyfriend in to the hobby! Oh and I'm at school living in a dorm room!

When I started I skipped the 10 gal. and blew my detasseling money on a 55gal. Quit knowleged for someone who has only been in the hobby for a year and a half. (I know, another surprise) I spend all my free time on the internet and free time I have lots :read: All It took was A look at a dragonfish when we were only there to buy a couple neons, and the next thing you know the only place I am still called Jordan is home. At school I am known as Fishpimp and at the fish stores they call me The Fish Guy. Obsetion, you decide.

Any hobbie can have its diehards. I play guitar and have 3 amps and 4 guitars. The most expensive one was $400. Pretty bad huh? well no. My friend has an amplifier that cost him $5,000. 7 guitars, the cheapest at $1,000 and one custom built at 12 grand, and he feels he doesnt have enough.

I only have 2 tanks right now, a 10 and a 55, but would love to have many more. I do feel the same that, while there is work involved, as well as a lot of money, it is well worth the time spent.

Just look at my sig, and I still have more tanks not mentioned, plus I have more tanks to come. ;)

I think that the fact that we are all here on this forum proves our addiction!!!!!
