can I add another filter?

i just figured with a sumpless 14 gal w/o a DSB, you dont want any additional nitrates, if you can help it.

carbon is good to use, as long as its frequently rinsed and replaced.

but as far as like filter flosses, acrylic medias and bioballs go, their not neccessary, and couLd lead to problems in the long run.
 
yea dude the filter itself is fine.

its just the mechanical media and such other hogwash id stay away from.

flow wise 20X 40X turnover is reccommended
