just wondering if i could add invertebrates yet, I have a 55gal with a protien skimmer and a penguin 550 filter, and 2 power heads. I only have about 15lb of live rock so far, i was thinking of mabey just a cheap anemone, I only have 2 40watt daytime bulbs, does anyone know if they could survive with that little live rock and just those lights. the tank has been established for 8 monthes, just not enough money for all the live rock and lites yet??

Most Anemones probably won't do very well with that little light and rock. I'm not even sure if a condy would make it in that set up and they can be a big p.i.t.a. anyway. There are lots of other inverts that should do great for you though like duster worms and brittle stars. I understand that l.r. can be sort of expensive for us non big city folks. You shouldn't worry though because if you can get any clacerous porus rock to turn into l.r. if you leave it in your tank for a while. It will take some more patience but, it can result in some pretty big savings for you and you also reduce your chances or introducing pests into your water. This hobby isn't cheap that's for sure but there's nothing more expensive that having to buy the same critter 3 or 4 times.

thanks i really just need to save up probably and just finish the live rock first but, I have just had the tank for so long and i want to add some cool things in there. I might try a brittle star are there any other stars you think might be ok.
