Check my sig. One of my wifes BP's died over the weekend. I am searching my options on adding another fish or stick with what I have. One thing to remember is that my 120 is a 4' tank.

I am interested in the following but open to any suggestions. Texas, Salvini, Nic, HRP( if they could survive in there).

Or should I stick with what I have. Note that the Bala will probably be getting a new home over the winter.

Anybody?

I personally would go for a Jag or Texas, make sure you have some good filtration.

I don't think a Jag would do well in a 4' tank.

HRP's would be a nice addition, as long as the chocolate cichlid doesn't become too aggressive. i think the texas would beat on your silver dollars pretty badly. not very familiar with the other two. a couple-three severums would fit right in.

I could probably get 2 or 3 HRP's in there. They stay around 5" right? I'm assuming they could hold up against the GT as well?

Hmmmm, I'm there with Watauga. Severums are a pretty good idea, they'd get along fairly well with your other stock. Plus, they'd be happy in that particular tank.

hmmmmm I would prefer to stay away from Sevs. Nothing against them but I've had these BP's for several years and they are a bit similar imo. I may still consider it though...

Good to hear about the BP, I think the Nic is an interesting choice, and they are not fish that you see to often in people's tanks
