Please any one can tell if I can accept tetras like neons in my aquarium without having plants in it?

Most fish appreciate plants just to feel a bit more secure, something to hide in/around. But, its worth a try, they should settle in eventually, although I'm not sure it would be an ideal condition for them

Hi. You definitely can keep fish in a tank without plants, but I don't see why you would. Both you and your fish will benefit from some plants: fish will feel more secure and comfortable, in turn rewarding you with better coloration and natural behavior. Plants also help out with maintaining water quality. Some of the commonly available plants require no special care and low to medium light (such java moss or java fern to name a few), so there is no reason not to include them.

These are just a few reasons to keep plants in your fish tanks, there are many more and even though the fish will survive in no-plants setups, they won't look nearly as good.

Hope this helps.

are you talking live plants or fake plants or either? here's my thoughts:

live plants will help keep your water cleaner, and the low light plants shouldn't require an extreme amount of special care. they also make the tank a little nicer to look at while giving the fish some shelter which makes them happier.

fake plants do everything live plants do except grow and clean your water ;)

no plants may encourage your tetras to school more if you have enough of them. lack of hiding places should keep them scared enough to stay in a group most of the time, but might cause them some stress since it doesn't seem like being scared al lthe time would be good for any living thing ;)

If I will have good rocks for hiding places, will it be fine for them? Also what fish spieces don't need at all planted aquarium?

there are a few african cichlids that like more of a rocky reef style setup, but you ned to be careful not to get ones that grow too big for your tank since a lot of those can get failry large :)
