Can I house a trio of electric yellow cichlids in a 20 long?

I was just wondering would a 20 gallon long, be good enough to house a trio of electric yellow cichlids. 1 male/2 female-male is 2.5", and both females are around 2". Or would doing this be a big NO!

Maybe but not for life....A 55g is really minimum for most Mbuna.

You are really pushing it. I had 2 species of peaceful mbuna in 33g before, one of which was Yellow Lab. They were doing ok, and bred fine. 33g has another 6 inch of length compare to yours.

Only as juvies or as a hospital tank really they will run out of room as they mature..

Yeah, I agree with everybody here. I don't think it is a good idea.

I agree, not a good idea. They really need more room to swim.
