Can i still do waterchanges while using Maracyn???

Was just wondering if anyone has used this product to clear up an ich infection and if so can you still do waterchanges?

If it doesn't tell you in the directions to do water changes, don't.

Maracyn is an antibiotic. It won't kill ich parasites.

Since you started the Maracyn you have to finish the dosing for the full 5 days if I remember correcty. This is regardless or not if it targets what you are treating for. Otherwise you brew resistant bacteria and when a real bacterial disease hits, the Maracyn will do nothing. You could start a salt or Maracide treatment to coincide the Maracyn to deal with the ich.

I would agree to keep using the maracyn at this point without water changes. And adding salt for the ich would be the best thing right now. Read Dave's article in the article section of the forum to see how the ich treatment works.
