I just got 6 Rummy Nose Tetra yesterday and low & behold I see Ich spots. I hear they are sensitive to the salt treatment, is this true......anyone with experience or knowledge on this?

Thanks

Yes they can.

Thanks RTR, as soon as I put them in the tank, their colors came back and they are all still bright red noses and good color on the tails. They are very pretty little fish but boy are the spots visible today.

Thanks, I will start the salt as soon as I get home tonight!

Hi,

I've had rummies for years. Try slowly raising the temp to about 86 F. The salt may also help. I've gone as high as 3 tbsp per 10 gallons without a problem. But I think the heat is the thing. Best of luck.
