I was woundering If Angels and groumies will get along in a 55g cause I was thinking on putting 4 Angels and 4 Groumies in my 55g

I love angels, but have never kept gouramis. What I can do is pass along experiences from friends though. It seems to me that dwarf, honey or lace gouramies might do ok with angels, but blue gouramies (and all the variants i.e gold and opaline etc.) might start feuding with angels *** they mature.

I'd try an angel tank with all south american fish like angels (maybe a festivum or two) with tetras, cories and maybe a few dwarf cichlids. Or a gourami tank with rasboras and botias. As you can tell, I kinda like to keep species that cohabitate in the wild together in the same tank.

Just a few suggestions, whatever you try, good luck

Gourami's like most fish have varying temperment by individual, So you may get a real nasty fish now and then. That being said I have never had issue with any of my blue's or pearls in tanks with angels, The biggest problem I've seen with gourami's is when you get them in with a fin nipper like tiger barbs, and the gourami is the one to suffer. I have kept Blue's and pearls with almost every type of common community fish, and never had issues.

I have 3 blue gouramis and 2 angels in a 55 gallon and they get along just fine. the gouramis just play with each other and leave everyone else alone. could just be my luck, tho... gotta agree that each fish is different in temperment. good luck :)
