Can you find opaline gouramis regularly at Petco?

ILOVEBETTAS

It's Cory Lover's cat!
I'm thinking about a thirty gallon tank and I want some gouramis, especially opaline and neon blue dwarf gouramis. Can they regularly be found at Petco and how much do they cost in American $$$?

They are usually pretty common at PetSmart, not sure about Petco but I would assume so, I bought my 3 spots at Petco. I would assume your are probably looking at the 3-5 dollar range, Liveaquaria.com sells them at 4.49 for opaline, and 5.99 for dwarf blues and they are usually more expensive. Remember that opalines are generally more aggressive than dwarf species. Opaline also get fairly large looking around 5-6 inches or so.

Thank you... I think an opaline one will go well with my gold gourami.

Caution: Opaline Gouramis are territorial and my show aggression towards others of the same kind, such as Gold or Blue Gouramis. That is the reason I only have one for now.

Also, when combining any of the larger gouramis (trichogasteer sp./ three spot and similar) with any of the smaller gouramies (colisa sp. and similar/drawfs), it's likely IME that the smaller one will end up dead. Also, with any labrinth fish, it's always a good idea to only keep one male of each species per tank. Otherwise, aggresion issues and/or deaths are likely occur.

Like previously stated, PetSmart sells both. I believe the opalines go for about $3 and the dwarves go for $3-4 each. I haven't seen either at PetCo.

I bought my Opaline Gourami from PetCo.
