Can you put nylon tie wraps in your tank?

I thought it might be cool to tie wrap some silk plants to the inlet tubing of my filter (the shaft, away from the actual inlet) to cut down on the unnatural appearing items, since I've decided I want two heaters instead of one. Is this going to poison my fishies? They're made of some kind of nylon I think, they even have green ones, but I think I'd be even more apprehensive about whatever is used to make them green.

I'm sure any of those "plastic tie wraps" are just fine to use in your tank. Most of the time the dye becomes inert when it is placed into the plastic before being molded into shape. The only thing that surprised me that is supposed to be toxic going into a tank is black PVC. For some reason this is "supposed" to be bad for fish tanks. I don't remember why, but it was something to do with the black color.

I would use tie wraps without worrying, personally. If I was wrong, It'd be an expensive lesson, I guess. Good for you to ask first, though!;)
