ive read on one source that the candy stripe pleco is a good algae eater. however, ive also read peoples' experiences with them that say the contrary, that they're not very good at all. any one have experience with the candy stripe pleco and algae eating? if it's not very good for the job, then what's a smaller pleco that would be better? thanks

IME...I have found that Oto Cats are EXCELLENT for keepinga tank nice and clean. I got mine for about $1.66 each, and my tank is squeeky clean.
