What those nitrite levels especially. Highlevels of nitrite will prevent the fish from actually using O2 in the water, no matter what the level is. Prevent the ammonia from getting above 1ppm and the nitrite from getting above 0.25 ppm and you should be fine. This may mean daily water changes at points but after a few weeks should settle out. If you are diligent the fish will pull through fine.
