Hi guys im extemely exited about my new 65 gal setup. Have nearly finished the custom show-stand. things should start to gel by next week. im getting LFS to help me assemble the piping from sump to main tank on tuesday. should have the mature water and media in there by Friday, latest. LFS is selling water + media + coral beauty + 2 cardinals + 1 chromis + 1 Common clown. as a package so the fish will have to go in as soon as i see water flow.:) im a bit sceptic about adding them so soon. But my friend would rather want me to take them off his hands than sell it to someone else.( they were his pets for more than 4 years!):)
 
No no no. this is the LFS ( my friend's) personal tank. all im doing is taking his filtermedia, his water and his fish ( his whole setup has been running for 4 years.), and im putting it into a new tank. Thus it will only be my pumps that will be biologically useless. I have however though of just asking a petshop to keep the fish for the first week or so. I still feel i want to do this the right way though!:mad: Anyway I'll keep you posted, just let me know how you guys feel about this whole thing please.:)
 
If it is a short trip it would be just like upgradeing to a bigger tank so you should be fine. Maybe set up a little QT tank just to make sure.
 
But, you said in your first post that "fish will have to go in there as soon as seeing water movement "...That whole post says that your building a new setup, and as soon as its up and running, you will put fish in there....

I think what confused me is that you wrote the "LFS" (live fish store) is selling you the fish-included package, and then you wrote it's from a "friend's tank."

Anyway, let us know how it goes! What kind of cardinals, Banggai? It's always exciting adding new livestock. Feel free to take some pictures, ;).
 
Hi they're pajama cardinals. Ok im sorry if i confused anyone. the guy that is selling me all the stuff is my friend and also has a LFS ( I though it stood for local fish supplier) :rolleyes: Anyway im finishing off the dtand tommorow. and we will prepare the tank and sump on monday/tuesday. The water and other goodies will only be done on next weekend.(Pay Day:) ) I will definately let you know by wednesday how everything went.

Local Fish Store/Supplier, lol, they're all the same to me. Seems like a great deal. You're fortunate to have a friend who owns a LFS! Haha- it's hard to have paydays and not stop by to see what you can buy. I almost never walk out empty-handed even when I don't plan on buying anything. :D

What do you think you'll add in the future?
