cardinal tetra missing.

i just noticed one of my cardinal tetras are missing. i ahd 12 in my 55g tank along with 7 congo tetras and 3 juvenile albino bristlenose plecos. if it died shouldnt i see its body somewhere? i doubt any of my fish would eat it.

I have never seen a fish that died, not be nibbled on by other tankmates.

I found that Neons can be really hard to find when dead because their color fades to where they blend in with the gravel I have. They also tend to drift into corners and get stuck around the base of plants and such. I had one disappear for a couple of days before it floated and I could net it. I also had some that apparently vanished. Since Cardinals are similar I thought I'd post.

I lost one and found it two days later... I hope the LFS still gives me credit for it... the tail is kind of faded. Still in the fridge.

I once found a dried bloodfin tetra on my carpet.
It was hidden by the lower shelf curtains

nevermind i think my bn plecos ate it after it died. i found out they eat protein too. i fed my fish frozen bloodworms for dinner last night and left the leftovers on the bottom. next morning all of them were gone..my batch of cardinals look very healthy too . wonder what killed it.

dead fish are tricky to find. my snails can mow over a dead fish in no time.
