What is more delicate, and would likely die if the water peremeter isn't on the top notch.
Cardinal Tetras or Rummy-Nose tetras?
And out of all the Tetras, what is the most delicate?
Thank You

I have heard Cardinals are hardy after adjusting but they can be finiky about water quality for the first part.

I would say that tank-raised fish are hardier than wild-caught, and I believe that most cardinal tetras are wild-caught, meaning that rummynose tetras are possibly more hardy. There is no one tetra that is the most sensitive out of all others, but cardinal tetras rank high in their level of sensitivity. Many people do not have long-term success in keeping cardinals.

Ya I never tried cardinals cause I heard they are really picky about water parameters.

It also depends what size you get them too, if you get very young tiny cardinals they are more likely to delicate, try to find them at a decent size ike full grown. I havent had rummynose but in store setting ive seen them survive when all the othr tank mates are belly up.

I've housed both tetras and I would say the cardinals are hardier, but rummy nose are hardy as well if params are very good.

Well, I guess I disagree... I have cards and rummies in my 125...
the cards definately seem more delicate to me..
I have lost about 15 cardinals, and only 2 rummys in the same tank over the past year...

My 6 cardinals are strong with me for months.

Cardinals by far are much more delicate then rummynoses in my opinion.
