so i come home from a weeks vacation to find one of my apple snails gnawing on a deceased guppy(rest her soul). two hours later it was completely gone! the snail kinda looked at me as if to say "yummy" and slinked away. is this normal behavior? it really freaks me out to think if i had come home two hours later there would have been no evidence of what transpired. anyone out there have a similar experience?

It will be neat, you can see the bones left after the guppy is totally licked clean.

All snails, so far as I know, will eat dead critters, fish, snails, shrimp, clams, whatever. It beats having the deceased critter foul up the water, though if there is a disease in a tank, best not to allow this kind of cleanup if you can prevent it. Q tank helps a lot if there is a sickness. Sorry about the guppy, but sadly, losses are part of the hobby.
