carribian reef fish

I don't konw much about Caribbean fish, but I just wanted to say "Good luck!" because this sounds like an awesome tank.
Once somebody more knowledgeable than me comes along and you finish your tank, remember to post pics! Because I am sure it will be beautiful! :)

There are numerous fish that come from that area that you can get such as royal grammas and neon gobies, although most fish you will find in a store are from indonesia.

Is this eventually gonna be reef?

Not many choices as to Atlantic fish due to volume!

On top of fish mentioned above, googling for Gramma melacara OR G. linki (difficult to obtain): Just one though.

Centropyge argi ($15-$20)OR C. acanthops ($50-$60).

You can also add some other inverts such as shrimps, crabs, snails,

If you were near me in Eastern costal area, you can catch your own Atlantic fish.

Just keep in mind not too over load at one shot!!!

How about just few seahorses???

If its his first tank, sea horses arent really the best option

it is eventualy gonna be reef i like the royal gramas i was also looking at the yellow head jawfish
not my first tank but im not into sea horses and im close to the atlantic but im not really a diver or snorkler so id rather let the pros do it then just get them from them
thanks for all the sugestions and i will deffinaly post pic

Hello Masterchef518.

I can think of a few small species for your consideration.

The Chalk Basslet is an attractive fish. You can keep more than one in the tank. It is colorful and peaceful.

Swissguard Basslet is another. It is pricey, but a beautiful fish.

There are a few blennies from the Caribbean. One is nearly solid black, and it does very well in an aquarium.

Tobacco Basslet and Harlequin Basslet are two more that come to mind.

Best of Luck!
