Catfish ident

i just bought a catfish yesterday at a lfs, i know its a african type but not sure what kind, its been hideing under rocks since i got it, its around 6-7" greyish skin with darkrer circles thru out the body, now this is what stans out on it is the eyes, they are blue, a deep crystal blue looking, real amazing to see, when i can i will get its picture, it was in kinda rough shape scrapes on the side and rattey tail, hopefull he will heal up now. any ideas what kind of sy, species it is. thank for any help

i'm only guessing really but it sounds a bit like my dwarf giraffe http://www.planetcatfish.com/core/index.htm not too sure about the description of the eyes though - makes me think i'm on the wrong track.

my only other stab in the dark would be a member of the Synodontis family. my only basis for this is that they're from Africa and many of them have markings similar to the ones you describe (dark circles).
