I have a 40 gallon Breeder.

Current Stocking 7 Espei Rasbora, 4 Head and Tail lights, 5 Julii Cory, 3 Panda Cory(actually look like pandas but arent ?)

I would like to have 15-20 Espei rasboras, 6 head and Tail Light tetras, 5 julii cory, 5 Panda cory look alikes

I am looking into a centerpiece fish, I have 1 rock cave, lots of Crypts Spiralis plants and a 10 inch 3 lb piece of driftwood in there
I have the plants around the cave, and alot on the other side with a big space between to swim and that is where the driftwood is

I have been looking at getting either Blue rams or Gold rams ? but have been told they may be to agressive for the Espei Rasboras ? is this true ?

If I did get the rams should I just get 1 ? or 2 ? or even 3 (1 male 2 females ) I am not interested in breeding as i have nowhere to add another tank right now and would the corys be in danger since they would be sharing the bottom of the tank ?

If not rams then what would be some good suggestions ? Been told Aspistos ? Gouramis ?

I just would like to find that fish that can be the centerpiece but get along with the community

I have Bolivian Rams in my tank, they are great fish and super peaceful! They are little more forgiving on the water quality as well!

how many bolivians do you have ? and what size tank ? if you dont mind me asking

I have pearl gouramis as the centerpiece in my 40B and love them. Very peaceful for a gourami, meaning mostly the male "gooses" the female pearls every now and then and only bullies new fish a bit when they come in. But once he accepts you, you are in and no worries. They ignore the cories totally, even when the cories go under the plant in the same cave the gouramis like to hide in. And the male especially is a truly breathtaking fish. Not that I don't think rams are a great choice, I had to think hard about which to choose for mine.

Electric Blue Ram. It's a variation of the German Blue Ram. Can be kind of pricey though. $30-$35 here in NYC.

A single Angelfish would be good too.

I have a 40g breeder too (not yet done setting it up) and I think you could do 15 of the rasboras, 6 of the tetras, 8 of your cories (I have 6 and am happy with that, very active), and a German Blue Ram. If you can get a trio (1M:2F) then maybe cut own the rasboras to 12. It's very hard to sex rams though unless they breed and you probably won't be able to find that at the LFS.

I would be careful of an angel with the espei. Mine just ate all my cardinal tetras!
