Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to this forum but would like to ask some advice in terms of tank stocking.

I have a 300l (75 uk gal) Jewel tank. I chose this as the filter supplied is actually spec'd for the larger 400l model.

In the tank at the moment I have a 2" Jack Dempsey, 4" nicaraguenese cichlid, a 1.5" salvini, a 3" green terror, 4 tiger barbs and a 6" catfish. Would you guys say there was any room for another fish? Perhaps a convict maybe?

You responses greatly appreciated.

Chris

If it was up to me, I wouldn't add anymore.

You could get away with a single convict.
For the time being anyways.
When the fish get full sized it will probably be a problem with the # and types of fish though.
Like rbishop said,I wouldn't do it.

Nortonc, IMO your already overstocked.
Please disregard any ill-advised additions to your tank, you need to be removing stock, not adding.

Always consider stocking levels with the fish as adults.
Not that you can get something for now and then get rid of it later, or get a bigger tank.
For some reason those plans have a amazing tendency to fall through.
