Changing over

hey all im changing my fresh water tank to salt i was wondering about th "anarobic" thing i keep hearing about?? im no too sure if my equipment is up to scratch i have
225 Gal tank
2x 580 GPH canister filters
2x 300w jager heaters
2x 317 GPH Beauty power heads
I have pretty low level lighting which i know im going to need to replace and i also know i need a proteen skimmer.
any help at this point would be greatly appreciated as im haveing trouble getting consistant answers.

Use the cannister filters for occasional use (carbon,phosphate remover)
You need stronger powerheads (possibly more than two)
The "anerobic bacteria" convert nitrates into harmless gasses. Get live rock.
