I got given a GPS-440 FishRFun tank and have cleaned it and set it up in the kitchen, I'm currently cycling it with cold water and I intend to put a heater in within the next two weeks.

My questions I have are these...

Am I wasting my time and should wait until the heater is in to cycle the tank?

Will the change from cold water to tropical during the cycle cause me any problems?

Sorry to be a bother but I can't find any other reference to changing temperature during a tank cycle

Warmer water helps speed up the cycle. It wont hurt the procces....:)

The sooner you add the heat the better.

Of course that all depends on how cold the water actually is. If room temp is in the low 70's F, then the tank should be pretty close and the bacterial growth will be fine. But as was mentioned the warmer the faster. Ideally you may as well keep the tank at the temp you will want to have it at full time.
