Hi i wanted to say that if u know commet goldfish or rosyreds. Comet gf are only 12cents and so are rosy reds. I was arguing with my dad who says that comet gf are better then bala sharks. But why would gf only cost 12cents

no fish is "better" than any other fish. someone might like it better, it might be a better choice for a certain person, it might be a better fit in a certain person's tank, but they're all living creatures and none of them are "better" than any other living creature.

yeah but any clue why goldfish are only 12cents

because they are feeder fish and have recieved only minimal care they are bought in bulk and usually have health issues -Anne

Goldfish are captive bred and have been for centuries. Bala sharks are usually wild caught or farmed in large ponds or sectioned off rivers. Plus there is a much more stable supply of goldfish than sharks when it comes to surviving fry.

I think the best fish are the cheap fish. Because they are very cheap they are not expensive. Also, gnerally, cheap fish are hardy fish.

How often do guppies die or platys die or 12 cent feeder goldfish die or the 12 cent rosy reds die? Not to ooften really. It's the exotics you ahve to be careful with.

I also think the best fish are the cheap ones, lkike Zebra Danios. They breed too. One breeding and it's like they were just a penny each.

I've bought these cheap fish before and usually they are hardy and wil do well. The important thing is too not buy them if there are lots of other fish in the tank that are sick. These tanks are usually crowded at the store. Most places will let you pick which ones you want. Just put them in a Q tank for a couple weeks until they are eating well, gain some size ect before adding them to a main tank.

Are rosy reds the same as rosy barbs? Ive never heard of rosy reds?
I have never seen rosy barbs go for less than $2 each.
