cheapest/best timer

looking for a timer for my lights... whats the cheapest timers out there, and where can i get them?

also is it much more expensive to get one of the fancier timers with multiple outlets and what not?
 
Does this one have two outlets on it? The picture doesn't show the other side and my timer died after two or three months.
 
I got mine at Lowes in the lighting dept. It has two grounded outlets and will do any combination of on/off you can think of including different programs for the weekend, etc. It is all digital and cost about $14. They had a cheaper one but my lights need the grounded plug.

I have had the expensive and cheap ones alike and they all bite the dust. I personally don't like the digital ones myself. I've had a few and they didn't last longer either and when you change batteries it was a pain in my butt. Even though I have everything from the fish tanks, reptiles and birds on timers, I try not to spend too much on them. The one exception is our bearded dragon. His is the fancy timer/power strip deals with day/ night settings. I would use one like this on a reef tank as well.
 
I've never had an issue with anything found in a hardware section or store. I do like having the strip timers (coralife I think is the brand) as I need all the plug-in spots possible but they are more expensive. Depends on how much you really need.
 
I have 1 of the expensive coral life timer /powerstrips. It works fine but the down side is even though it has multiple outlets it only has 1 program so it is more limited than I expected. Now I just buy the cheap analog timers for about $5 when I need to setup a new tank. The cheap digital timers seem to get fried easily but the cheap analog timers keep running along.
